Since 1959, the St. Columba Church sanctuary designed by famed San Joaquin Valley architect Robert Stevens, FAIA has remained an excellent example of late modern liturgical architecture. The growing congregation expanded beyond the capacity of the existing parish hall. To support the current and future growth of the Church, a new parish hall was needed.

The composition required a new building that respected and embraced the iconic sanctuary, addressed the connection to the street and created outdoor space for fellowship. A curved facade was designed to symbolize the hand of God protecting while embracing worshipers and creating an outdoor room where parishioners mix. The parish hall and chapel are dominated by large art glass pieces design by local artist Corky Normart, and feature a crucifix by local sculptor Clement Renzi.

The Chapel seats 40 for weekly mass, small weddings, and funerals, and features a columbarium. The parish hall also includes spaces for Christian Education and a dedicated rehearsal room and music library for the choir.
