Stephanie has known since middle school that she wanted to be an architect—even though the job turned out to be almost entirely different from her younger perception.
After becoming licensed, Stephanie moved from generally assisting on various phases of projects to managing projects from start to finish. She works on everything from initial programming and design to construction, developing strong relationships with clients along the way. Stephanie coordinates a design team of various consultants and engineers, as well as working with our in-house team, all while collaborating with and understanding various parameters and regulations from the client, user, agencies, and stakeholders.
Her passion is researching precedents and studying historic examples to apply concepts in innovative designs. Integrating historic ideas with new creativity, Stephanie focuses on the larger picture–how the building scale will influence the context and vice versa. She especially enjoys being a resource and mentor to others in the office as they go through the licensing process, and she hopes to live up to her own mentors’ legacy.
On the weekends, Stephanie is a wedding photographer, and she loves that her architectural education contributes to her chosen creative outlet. The overlap of project management, creativity, composition, and adaptability between these two fields has helped her develop skills that contribute to growth in both areas.
