Ismael Jimenez Gonzalez

Designer

Design requires a passion for taking initial ideas to the next level while considering details and practicalities—and you might say that’s what drew Ismael into this creative field.

Ismael loves to create drawings and then explore various iterations with the goal of acquiring the best solution. He takes the time to study and research in order to anticipate challenges and determine the ideal design for the context and environment. Another of his responsibilities is to prepare construction documents.

Ismael thrives in the friendly and collaborative environment at PHA and enjoys working toward a project alongside the rest of the team.

Education & Certifications

He graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a bachelor's degree in architectural studies.

Described as

“Ismael may seem serious at first, but he is funny and likes to joke around a lot. If he doesn't know the answers to a problem, he will go look for it, and is pretty accurate at guessing things!”

Favorite PHA project

“So far, Dream Center at Campus Point. It's an interesting building dedicated to foster youth children. The first and second levels consist of offices and a classroom, and the third floor is residential. My favorite part of the building is the lounge area on the second floor and the roof deck.”

One food forever

“I love food, but for sure it’s not pickles!”

Working tunes

“I listen to a little of everything, although I don't listen to music at work. But if I were to listen to music, it would be something that's slow and relaxing.”
