K-12: Edison High School Additions/Modernizations | Fresno Unified School District | Built
Edison is one of Fresno Unified School District’s oldest and most vibrant High Schools. While a principal with the Taylor Group Architects, Paul Halajian served as Architect of Record and oversaw the final document preparation, value engineering, approval, bidding, and construction administration phases of the project. The Scope of Work included new utility infrastructure, removal of ageing relocatables, new auditorium/cafeteria, two-story science classroom building, administrative annex, and modernization of the remaining existing campus buildings. Work occurred in 8 phases while occupied. A new amphitheater at the new heart of the campus now serves as a focal point of the West Fresno Community. This project received an AIASJ Award of Merit in 2003.
